Space Security Service agent Marc Cory is on the planet Kembel investigating a possible Dalek spacecraft sighting. He discovers a plan by the Daleks to stage an attack on the Solar System. With both Daleks and the hostile Vaarga plants to deal with the other members of Cory's expedition are killed. Cory manages to record his findings onto tape, and plans to fire it into space. Before he can fire it into space Cory is discovered and exterminated, but the recording survives ...
